Ho-hum..

So how do you last a day like this?
  • Dial-up internet connection. No messenger, no blogs to read, no internet reading. Translation: NO WORK.
  • Clogged nose, bad headache and eyes that are on fire.
  • No new candidates from your jobstreet posting. Translation again: NO WORK.
  • Gloomy weather.
  • No exciting events to look forward to except for Palawan. Man, i'm tired of thinking abt that.
  • No food to munch on because I'm too tamad to go out and buy something to eat. (It's breaktime now you see.)
  • Almost everybody in the office are out/on leave!

I wish I'm in a different situation unlike this, big time.

Like in the mall buying outfits needed for Palawan. There's a big diffence from need and want talaga.
In the bookstore buying my bday gift for Tets-Bu.
Scouting for a perfect wrap-around dress for an affair on the 28th.
In a spa having a much needed head and back massage.
Or simply at home, in my room sleeping.

Ho-hum..

Wow!

This got me really excited after seeing the Inquirer's front page: Manila Ocean Park to be open in December!
Yes, our country will finally have a world class marine park and will be located at the back of the Quirino Grandstand at the Rizal Park. This is even bigger than Sentosa's, around 2,000 sqm difference. This 1B worth of investment (by Malaysian and Singaporean investors) is set to open in December and is 80% completed as todate.
My pamangkins will surely be very excited abt this as much as I am. :) And did I also mentioned that the entrance fee is just reasonable? With P250/head for students and P350-P400 for regular patron. Woooow na woooow diba? :)
Now i'm thinking, meron kayang Marina and Dyesebel na nags-swim swim ang Ocean Park natin para orig? :D

26th!

I am not a fan of birthdays, mine in particular. I get excited for friend's or relative's birthdays but not on my own. I welcome October with my birthday blues, kadramahan etc...
This year was different, i feel blessed and loved. Why not? I'm with my loving family and i get to eat the foods that i craved . ;)
(Carbonara which i cooked, and was a blast!)

(Ohhh, ice cream in pistachio and cashew flavor.)

Me talking to Butets: "Kain kang cake, mango cake. Sana carrot cake, ayaw ko na pala ng mango. Hehehe" :D

Thank you Lord, thanks to my my family and friends, to those who remembered, thank you for making it my best bday ever! (blushes)

Keep Holding On

A very dear friend is going through a very serious trial right now and I want to be one of the "positve person" for him. He is one of the few people I talked to as soon as I knew that my mom has leukemia two years ago. I was crying really hard as we were exchanging text messages that very unforgettable night. He gave me words of strength and faith that I needed despite the fact that I know that he's a little afraid talking about such things. He is always very positive and his faith in the Lord is admirable.
He first called me maybe a month ago talking about a "problem" that he cannot tell yet and that he wanted to go to Manaoag and pray for help. All he said that time was that it's something serious and the only option is surgery. Me and another good friend was alarmed on the seriousness of the problem prompting him to go to Manaoag so we both decided to come with him, but he's having a bad cough that his father didn't allow him to go.

Weeks after I learned from him that the "problem" was actually a mass that need to be taken out of his body through surgery. It came as a shock to me considering the sensitivity of the mass' location. Also, I know that my friend isn't open to the idea that he may undergo surgery, as he keeps on saying that there must be a medicine that could dissolve the mass that he needn't have to go under the knife. Unfortunately, he has to.. and it has to be done as soon as possible. The mass that we thought was just simple mass appears to be alarming and that he need to undergo series of tests (lots of it) before proceeding with the operation. That news, which i just learned this afternoon saddened me. According to his doctor it's a semi-emergency case and that he need do something about it. He even mentioned that it could be cancerous and that he may undergo radiation, chemo therapy etc.. I know this isn't easy for him to take as well to his family and i also know that he's still trying to keep the positive outlook he has on all the things happening. He would always send his friends messages of faith and hope and he would always ask for prayers as he go through such ordeal.

I know that you have so many friends praying for you and I am one of them. Just keep on praying and believing that everything will be well. I can see that beyond this trial you became stronger, you learn to believe in you faith..to trust in Him. Always remember that the Lord woudn't give you something you cannot overcome. Just be strong and keep holding on.

Addicted to THIS...

I first tried Chef Tony's popcorn half year ago and since then I'm addicted to it. I remember before when Pesto flavor was the "craze" and there i was with a good friend with me hopping from one stall to another just looking for that flavor. Popcorn is a good source of fiber, perfect for me whose always concerned on that "issue". I used to hoard Kettle Corn and Holy Kettle Corn but none of them can match this...

Intruducing, Chef Tony's Country Cheddar flavor! My latest addiction. :) Actually, my fave of all. I've tried almost all of their flavors (Natural, Pesto, Cinnamon, Parmesan, Machiatto, Chocolate, White Chocolate, Walnut) and nothing beats the Cheddar Cheese! I can finish one container in just one sitting, this infact is my Friday-chicha on the bus on the way home in Bulacan. There was even a time when my pamangkin, Bianca would complain because I would always bring popcorn as my pasalubong to them ;) I love it, i love it!

(after downing the first one, i have to stop myself and took a pic). Hihihih

I'm lovin' it!

Aside from the heavy workload and tons of reports accomplished this week, I was able to squeeze in updating my iTunes. I downloaded iTunes 7.2 (the latest version) here in my office pc and I'm overjoyed on the Artwork feature of it. :) So everyday since Monday, I would download the Cover Art of the albums for the songs in my library. Tedious, but a lot of fun afterwards most especially if I put my images on songs whose album covers doesn’t appeal me. ;)

MRT Scene Stealer No. 3: The Fighting Amazonas

Just this morning, I again encountered a funny "little" incident which I won't miss to blogging about.

The train was about to stop the Magallanes stn, normally, people who drops off from this station (me included) eh naglalapitan na sa pinto ng train, at mangingiti ka in amusement pagbukas ng door kasi parang may sunog sa loob ng train kasi lahat sila nagtatakbuhan towards the exit (di nako kasama dun).

So eto na nga, kaninang umaga, akala ko "just like the other ordinary days" ang eksena..

(May mamang pulis na sumakay sa Ayala stn, and pag pulis ka, you are allowed to join the girls sa first car ng train).

So bumukas na ang pinto, all the while i tought it was over. Pero wag ka, ang dalawang amazona di pa pala tapos sa paglabas ng galit sa isat-isa. Nakita ko nlang na siniko ni Amazona 1 si 2 sa mukha! As in full force! Sayang! :D
