Like being with your BIG FAMILY.

Or with your GOOD FRIENDS...

..or just sharing a good conversation with a cup of coffee (home brewed, that is free) on weekends.

The Secret

Do you have something you wanted so bad but you just don't know how to get it?

That's what the film The Secret is all about. It will teach you how to get it. It will show you how to get your heart's desire by just thinking about it. Incredible? Unbelievable? Yeah.

I've heard about this book (they released the book first then the film afterwards) since early last year and instantly I know I just have to read it. Unfortunately the book came to the Phils late with incredibly high price tag, Php700+ when I last checked it in the bookstore (price went up as soon as Oprah, Ellen Degeneres and Larry King recommended it). So when I heard that they actually released a film version of the book I got excited. I just felt that maybe this thing may want to reach me, through pirated DVD. ;)

It was I think May or June of last year when me and Butets stormed to Quiapo looking for the DVD version. Not surprisingly, no single store even knew or heard about it..well, even Butets doesn't have an inkling what the hell I was looking for. (I ended up getting Music and Lyrics which I also blogged abt).

I forgot about getting it until two weeks ago, Allan and I went to Makati Cinema Square (the pirated DVD center in Makati) and I saw the DVD! Nice copy, they might have it looong ago pa. Just last weekend I watched it together with Butets and my sisters. I was moved. I've never been that inspired after watching it. Seriously.

The Secret tells about the LAWS OF ATTRACTION in getting anything you want, no matter how impossible it may seem. It showcases testimonials from people whose lives were changed after practicing the law, words from physicians, psychologists, metaphysicist, theologist and many others.

Suppose you want to be rich, then visualize yourself as one. You have to think about it as many times as possible so you can send the energy to the universe so it'll help you in getting what you want. (Sounds crazy? Nah, i think it more sounded like Paolo Coelho in The Alchemist).

I wouldn't discuss the whole thing, basta it made an impact on me and I know a lot of people (even Sharon Cuneta featured this in her show) practicing this. I recommend you read the book or watch the movie instead. :)

How To Be Happy

The foundation of happiness is a proper relationship with the Lord. But to fully experience that happiness, we must build on that foundation in practical ways. I found this list of Ten Rules for Happier Living:

Give something away.
Do a kindness.
Give thanks always.
Work with vim and vigor.
Visit elderly and learn from their experience.
Look intently into the face of a baby and marvel.
Laugh often- it's life's lubricant.
Pray to know God's way.
Plan as though you will live forever- you will.
Live as though today is your last day on earth.

Year of the Rat for the Roosters

Expect a busy year ahead with wonderful achievements and accomplishments although you must proceed with total reliability and fair play. Although a natural hard worker, in order to achieve success for the year, the foundations need to be laid and you are required to work harder this year expect good results from your extra hard work.

Success is indicated in business and at home. There are good career opportunities as well as positive prospects for romance or even weddings. On the other hand, your success can lead to jealousy so be aware of gossip or back stabbing and keep a low profile and do not provoke debates or confrontations as they can backfire on you, although the recipient will lose out in the long run because it will underhand on their part.

Look forward to a good year with plenty of opportunities and potencial financial windfalls, you could also travel and find new opportunities. You need to make time for relaxation as a busy successful year can often lead to neglect with regards to taking time off.

Although 2008 will be a lovely year and many dreams can come true, you need to take time to relax and spend as much time with loved ones as possible, this is so important in 2008.

I can be an asshole of the grandest kind

I can withold like it's going out of style

I can be the moodiest baby you've never met anyone

who is as negative as I am sometimes.

I am the wisest woman you've ever met.

I am the kindest soul with whom you've connected.

I have the bravest heart that you've ever seen

And you've never met anyone who's as positive as I am sometimes.

You see everything, you see every part

You see all my light and you love my dark

You dig everything of which I am ashamed

There's not anything to which you can't relate.

And you're still here.

I blame everyone else, not my own partaking

My passive-aggressiveness can be devastating

I'm terrified and mistrusting

And you've never met anyone as closed down as I am sometimes.

What I resist, persists, and speaks louder than I know.

What I resists your love, no matter how low or high I go.

I'm the funniest woman you've ever known.

I'm the dullest woman you've ever known.

I'm the gorgeous woman you've ever known.

And you've never met anyone as everything as I am sometimes.

You see everything, you see every part

You see all my light and you love my dark

You dig everything of everything of which I am ashamed.

There's not anything to which you can't relate.

And you're still here.

To 2008 and beyond!

Happy New Year to all! 2007 has been very good to me and my family. Thank God for all the blessings. And now is the start of another year so i must list down my resolutions for a fresh start. ;0)

1.) Have braces. I know it's too late. And it's geeky. And it's awful. And sometimes gross. But i need to have it na, i'm no longer happy with my teeth.
2.) To save. Yeah. This will forever be on my list. Kyeme!
3.) Travel more. Out of country travels. CDO/Camiguin. Spend quality time with loved ones.
4.) Be active. Get into sports. Excercise. Walk. Run.
5.) Eat healthy, think healthy, be wealthy and stay fit. Drink water ONLY and to junk sodas and alcohol..and avoid coffee (as much as possible, sayang ang bagong coffee maker!)
6.) Regularly hear the mass and pray a lot.
7.) Love more whine less. COMPROMISE. Don't be a pain in the you-know-where.
8.) Learn how to drive. It's about time.
9.) Pamper myself atleast once/twice a month. Spa. Facials. Massage. Shop. Dine out. It's endless.
10.) Take care of my skin. I'm no longer a teenager. Moisturize!
11.) Be productive. At work and at home. Sleep less and enjoy every minute of life.
12.) Take extra effort to save the mother earth and to stop the global warming. Go greenpeace. Buy enviro bag and use it ALL the time.
13.) Lastly, to stay pretty and happee. Compliment. Smile. When you smile, the world smiles with you. :)
O, walang kokontra. Kanya-kanyang list yan... :o)
