Bad Day

My wallet was stolen from me while riding the MRT this morning. It's so effing stolen by a girl apparently since I rode the for-females-and-elderly-passenger's car! I am so effing pissed off!
I had the feeling that someone's pushing me (a little OA from the usual pushing and shoving) from behind upon entering the train but since it was rush hour and there were so many passengers with me I didn't notice. That's when I think the babaeng mandurukot got my wallet. She just wanted the wallet considering I've tons of things inside my bag, deadma ang coinpurse and cellphones ko!
Good thing I was able to see my ofcmate just before I ride the jeepney to the office..kundi wala akong pamasahe. Grrrr... I had to spend the rest of the morning blocking my credit card and atm plus applying for a new one (which is not free btw). Re-application for my health card (i had to file for an affidavit of loss pa and have it notarized) plus P100 (again) for the card fee. It's crazy! Good thing I was able to block my ATM right away so I got my money and I can still go home later.
I don't have any valid ID with me anymore..that I have to re-apply also. I feel less of a person. All my card transactions and receipts are there (and my pictures too)! :( DAMN!
This is my first time to experience such. I normally dismiss MRT stories like that. The driver would always warn us to take good care of our belongings upon entering and leaving the train but i just shrugged it off. Hay, charge this to my experience..just what a friend told me. I should..but it.really.pisses.me.off! I have a bad day!

My Travel Diary: BKK Report

Bangkok, Thailand
April 17-20, 2008

What you should know about BKK and from my trip there in tab: :o)

• This is my first out of the country trip c/o my generous company. Also my first PAL flight. I hardly felt any bumps (upon take-off or landing). Was able to watch PS I Love You (Hilary Swank) on board which I am planning to watch months ago. ;)


• BKK is hot, hotter than Manila weather actually. I recommend wearing shorts and comfy shirt/sleeveless plus flip-flops when strolling.


• BKK is for bargain-hunter shoppingeras. There are lots of cheap items (they have everything you could think of) and even the branded items are cheaper here compared in Manila (even the items in 7Eleven!).


• Tiangges are everywhere. Most of your stay in BKK will be consumed from shopping (and bargaining) so it's better that you have lots of dollars (to be converted to Baht once you're there) and don't pack too much clothes on your luggage- excess baggage is costly just in case you scored a lot of new items.


• They LOVE super spicy food. They put chillis on almost everything they eat including green mangoes (sugar and chilli sawsawan, weird) salads and chocs to name a few.


• Aside from temple/golden buddah tours and the crocodile/elephant show, I didn't get to see other places of interest when were there. I missed the Floating Market! :(


• They must've put sugar into their soil. ALL fruits from BKK are super sweet, Ayelavet! Their green mangoes and Makopa are a must-try. I ate loads of watermelon, melon and pineapple too.
  

Best buy for me are:

1. A branded shades that I got for 780baht (normally it's 2,000-2,500 pesos here.


2. Suimsuits for 280baht each (that's like 350 pesos if converted!)
   
3. Mistine White Spa deo spray for only 50baht! This deo is always out-of stock at any Watson's store i went to in Makati. It's regular price is 300 pesos, and its just 62.50 pesos in BKK! What a bargain! (I should've taken their pics, don't you think?)

Thais exemplary respect for their King and it's goverment is admirable. Pictures of their King are seen almost anywhere. They celebrate his birthday with one week holiday. When the King's sister (the lady in the pic) passed away more than 3 months ago, they all wore black for 3 straight months.
Gov't offices put white and black ribbon all over their fence like the one in picture.

Surprisingly, Thailand has improved a lot for the past years compared with Pinas. Their King is doing a pretty good job than our president i must say. They have cool colored taxis too (purple,blue,red, orange, green/yellow and pink).

These colors represent a taxi company. Pink - for gays according to our guide and Green/Yellow for private (owned).

My Gratitude List

According to The Secret, rather than ranting or whining on the negatives, you will feel good about yourself by listing your Gratitude List- things that you are thankful for-no matter how big or small.
I am attracting positive forces now which I am badly needing lately. I am getting bored with what I do, I need a kick in the @$$. :o)
I'll be forever thankful to the Lord because:

• Nanay is well and cancer-free. This will forever be on my Thank You Lord list. She's leaving tomorrow for San Diego to visit my sister and her family (which i am also grateful for).
  
• I have a good job- not that high paying but its never toxic.
• I get to travel to places I've never been to atleast twice a year, either by promo or for free (c/o my company).
• I am LOVED. (blushes)
• I have a big family that I get to spend my weekends with.
• I can pamper myself whenever I want to-most of time in the mall or just by lazing around.
• I may not be 100% healthy but I know I am well.
• I have learned to battle and win over credit card temptations.
• I can fight boredom wherever I am. :))
• My happiness didn't have to depend solely on one particular person, place or thing.

Things that I learned lately (like a month?):

• I can survive without TV!
• I can eat adobo, chicharon, kaldereta, corned beef and tuna over and over again (in the house and even in the ofc) with a Kargador's appetite everytime.
• Listening to TV Patrol on AM Radio is actually entertaining.
• American Idol re-runs on weekends are my new bestfriend (because I can only watch TV on weekends).
• Fastfood deliveries are the next big thing aside from "Tiramisu" (tirang ulam na init lang ng init). I have stored all their numbers in my phone now.
• Morning conversation over brewed coffee and Sky Flakes is HEAVEN. :)
• I am so matakaw! I eat anything, I crave everything. I gained two inches in my waistline! I have to watch on my diet or else I'm in serious trouble. :[
• Yellow Cab is truly one of the best thing that has happened in my life aside from hair relax/rebond. LOL
• Washing the dishes/laundy is not always a bad thing.
• I sleep better (and earlier) if I took cold shower in the evening as oppose to my theory before that hot shower can make me sleepy.
• You should not expect me to fix the bed in the morning whenever I'm in a rush even if I told you I'm gonna do it. :p
• You can actually miss someone after being apart for 12hrs.
  

You won't be bored when you're happy. You can do anything when you're inspired. You can be anything without fear or hesitations when you are loved. And at the end of each day you realize it's all you ever needed.

When Love Begins in Bora on Labor Day (Corny Title :p)

I spent my Labor Day in the mall with my two cousins. We watched When Love Begins (Aga Muhlach and Anne Curtis) because lola likes Aga movies. I initially wanted to see Iron Man instead of this movie because
1) I am not an Aga fan. and 2) I feel that this is another shallow movie of too much promo. I got curious tho and said ok to the movie when I remembered from the trailer that most part of the movie are shot in Boracay so I thought "Why not?" I might get some "ideas" here and there from the movie which I may use on my big day there. (Aww...tagal pa nga pala nun.)
I won't give reviews/criticize the movie, acting nor the story because I didn't like it. (What a spoiler!) Okay, it's not that the movie is panget.. let's just say it's Simple. There. :)
What I really wanna blog about are the outfits Anne/Anchor (I call her Anchor, short for Anchortis) that she wore in the movie. Wow, i didn't know she can carry all types of clothes really well. Ang ganda ng mga suot nya especially the swimsuits and cover-ups. Yay! I want! She has nice legs too. I was searching for Anchor's pic in the internet but I can't find the cover-up and dresses (she wore a lot of maxi dresses in the movie) that she wore and I liked. Hence the feeling na kulang ang entry ko na 'to. Anyway, after the movie I wanna go to Bora na..which also kinda gave me the feeling that the "re-route" from Batanes to Boracay I made wasn't so bad at all. :o)
